Bees and pollinators weekend
A Bee and Pollinator Weekend in Natuurmuseum Brabant on the 15th and 16th of April! We can use some busy bees to help make seed bombs and learn how to fly like bees. Very important because the number of bees (pollinators) is declining rapidly and that is bad news. Mainly because 80% of our edible crops and almost 90% of our wild plants are pollinated by bees and other insects. During the weekend you can do all kinds of bee quests and make seed bombs. Come on over and help!
Expedition Discover: live like a bee
A bee's life is not all roses, they work hard and visit all kind of flowers! Shrink yourself and fly along in our new Expedition Discover! Fly along a bee ribbon, count your stripes and more. Discover the bee world at your own pace: assignments for 4-6 year olds, 6-9 year olds and 9-12 year olds.
From April 15 to May 9
Making seed bombs
Bees search for flowers in your garden, around your school and many other places. During the Bee and Pollinator Weekend, children can make seed bombs. No, not real bombs. They are special balls with seeds of colorful and sweet flowers, making the search for flowers easier!
You take the seed bombs home with you and toss them on grass or dry ground. This produces flowers that make bees and other pollinators very happy! Bonus: the junk stays in the museum, the nice seed bombs go home.
April 15 and 16 from 12:00 to 16:00
